This sweet and tender project still remains one my favorite short subjects I have ever been a part of- Best- F. DiDonato (composer/sound design)

A gem of a short. Reminded me of my own childhood.

“Bravo, Giorgio” is a darling piece. The little boy charmed me to pieces. The old man reminded me of my own Grandpa, and as sweet as the story was, seeing Grandpa at the very end brought me to tears. Sweet tears. This one gets my vote, and as a casting professional it was good to see Letty Serra ["Tony and Tina's Wedding"] and Paul Borghese [Yogi Berra in Billy Crystal's "61"] on the small screen. Loved the music, too!

Wow! A film that hits the sweet side of Italian-American culture. My folks lived with my father’s parents until I was about 8 and my grandmother and grandfather were guardian angels, mentors, and sometimes defenders. I can relate to this film.

A wonderful, touching and well written short with a nice twist. Beautiful ‘coming of age’ movie that really depicts a certain time very well. Great music score, and directing and camera work, well done!

I loved this film because my Nanny lived next door and I was always at her home my (Grandfather died at a young age). My Nanny taught me how to say my prayers befor I went to sleep. Nanny would wake me by turning the radio on and greet me with a good morning hug and kiss. Oh, how I miss her! I still recall the smell of the china cabinet where she kept her candy treats. As Giorgio remembers his Papa I will keep my Nanny in my heart until I see her again. Well Done! Bravo

I feel this movie should be shown this Saturday it is a beautifully written movie and it would be a plus for channel 13….Hope to see it on TV….I lost my grandfather at a very young age and it would have been helpful to have been able to see this movie when I was that age…

I loved it! I don’t usually do this, but I had to comment on this short. You have MY vote! It was fun to see a younger Paul Borghese as the grown up Giorgio. I know Paul well. He’s a fine actor. The film was touching. Bravo John Plausse!

J Rosenthal -- April 16th, 2009 at 11:40 pm

I felt the same way Marty. I knew you’d like this film. I got a kick out of seeing Pauly in there too! Some of his earlier work I guess? Good Luck all! JR

I really enjoyed it. I like Bravo Giorgio the best-very well done and I like the message it relays considering my husband and I have both lost our fathers recently and we live on these wonderful memories of even simple things like a first haircut. Congratulations!
