James Cagney in "Shake Hands with the Devil" (1959)
Shake Hands with the Devil was filmed entirely in Ireland. In the comments section below tell us your favorite Irish-set movie. Reel 13 Classics host Neal Gabler likes Ryan’s Daughter (1970).

My favorite Ireland-set movie is The War of the Buttons. Waking Ned Divine is a close second.
all-time favorite Ireland set move– The Quiet Man
I’m so sorry that your listing of Shake Hands with the Devil was incorrect. I saw only the last 30 minutes of this film and was stunned by the beauty of its cinematography–worthy of comparison to David Lean’s best. And a terrific Cagney.
