Winning Short for April 4, 2009: New York Talk
Friday, April 3rd, 2009 at 3:48 pm

Congratulations to this week’s filmmakers, Sandi Bachom (”Telling Jokes in Auschwitz“), Michael Krivicka (”New York Talk”) and Theo Rigby (”Close to Home“).

The Winning Film is “New York Talk”. Directed by Michael Krivicka, “New York Talk” is a kinetic slice of the city that portrays a not-so-common look at the popular New York City lifestyle. The film perfectly conveys the energy of the city with its fast-paced cutting of a mosaic of the images and the people that make up this metropolis — accompanied by a distinctly New York guide through it all.

“New York Talk” has been an official selection of the Berlin International Short Film Festival, the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, the Tribeca Underground Film Festival, the Miami Short Film Festival, Exground FilmFest, the Festival International du Court Metrage, the Long Island International Short Film Expo, the Cabbagetown Short Film Festival, the Zeitgeist Short Film Festival, the Hardacre Film Festival, the Billyburg Short Film Festival, the Fort Myers Beach Film Festival and the Coney Island Film Festival.

And a big thanks to all of this week’s filmmakers. All of the films are winners and deserve our support.

BROADCAST TIME: “New York Talk” will be broadcast tomorrow evening, Saturday, April 4th, 2009 on Thirteen/WNET at 11:14PM (Rebroadcast: 03:45AM) Eastern Standard Time.

Enjoy and Have a Great Weekend!

WELL PRODUCED UGLY MESSAGE.
WONDER WHY “THE BLACK-MALE-VOICE” OF INDIGNATION HAS LOST ITS BITE? WATCH THIS ONLY IF YOU ARE NOT AFRAID OF GOING BLIND.
THE PUP’S SQUATTING IS THE CLEAREST CRITIQUE.
DON’T QUITE YORU DAY JOB……….

I am not leaving this comment so I can praise the film (it is obviously excellent), but so I can reflect on the first comment left by ‘Affiable Windbag’ who clearly needs to take some English lessons before he and his critiques can be taken seriously. I still can’t stop laughing. What an affiable douchebag.

Affiable is not a word. But yeah, Annette, I copy.
