	Q: How would you define "independent" film and video today? A: "Independent" films and videos today have moved to a definition that means at this point, without studio backing. That's a huge stretch from what it started as, which was quaintly referred to as underground film. With the ease of video and digital picture making, the field has opened a floodgate available to anyone with a camera, making the concept of being a filmmaker financially available to almost anyone with imagination.
