Other themed hours are: "New York Dances" (June 27), which opens with GHOSTCATCHING, a virtual dance created by Bill T. Jones in collaboration with digital artists Paul Kaiser and Shelley Eshkar, that melds dance, drawing, and computer composition to examine the body in motion, and also features LIMÓN MOVING INTO THE FUTURE, a short documentary on Jose Limón's celebrated dance company; "Experimental Directions" (July 8) includes GLOBAL GROOVE, Nam June Paik's groundbreaking 1973 electronic collage offering a radical manifesto on global communications in a media-saturated world, and POETRY IN MOTION PICTURES, two shorts, one by Shaun Irons and Lauren Petty and the other by Jonathan Calm, that use sound and imagery to create mood and tone.
