Q: Is there a relationship between your work as a filmmaker and life in the New York Metropolitan area?
A: Absolutely. Because the density of people and diversity of cultures, New York City is my favorite place to shoot. No matter where you are shooting, within 5 minutes you are guaranteed that something interesting will evolve. What I also love about shooting in New York is that it makes me focus on the people and neighborhood rhythms that I often take for granted and may not notice. Because of the intense concentration that is needed when shooting, I continue to discover more about this city and fall deeper in love with it every time I shoot.
