I live less than a mile from the site and I also saw the mangled steel carcasses from the Trade Center dumped from the endless stream of trucks onto the barges on the Hudson. That felt like the real story that no one seemed interested in. I became split, what was the story, the sometimes surreal carnival atmosphere of the tourists or the actual footage? The reality to me was the clean up of the towers, the thousands of women and men that spent 24/7 recovering the site. But I realized they were both realities, one absurd, one heartbreaking, both needing to be exposed and explored.

Q: Do you have any interesting and/or amusing behind-the-scenes stories about the making of this particular work?
