Q: How did you fund this particular film and what is your general experience in seeking funding?
RM: This project did not require much by the way of funding. It is a pure documentary in the sense that it is solely the account and first hand experiences of three individuals dealing with the intense circumstances surrounding them, hence the title FIRST PERSON. For other projects I find that I resort to true "Guerilla Filmmaking" tactics. In the words of Mr. Malcolm X, "By means necessary." By this I mean that I resort to whatever means I have to get the project done, be them favors and/or others good will.
LJ: I run everything through my company. It paid. Always a little help from friends as well.
