My film was chosen by two of them, straight after the submission of my initial proposal. I chose one, the most prestigious, to work with. On the basis of this first contact, I found a (small, independent) production company. That company applied for grants, got three major grants from Dutch and Belgium Filmcouncils (this is, basically, government money). That did cover the production 100%. That is the Dutch way ... (Yes, that is to be envied ...)
