The director of the
shelter wouldn't let us start shooting without the presence of this city
official. To cut the story short: the man didn't show up until very late,
pretending to have been stuck in the snow. We, by that time, didn't have any
more time to shoot any more material than the planned interview with
Chris-the-Singer. The city bureaucrat could, of course, blame the snow for his
delay ...
In the end, this, and similar experiences, are the reason that in the final
film, one will not see the dramatic and shivering scenes from the inside
world in the city shelters for homeless people, which, I am sure, will still
be in existence today.
