Q: What inspired you to make this piece?
A: Since my brother lives and works in New York and I didn't see nearly enough of him and his lovely American wife, I took the opportunity to fulfill a wish I had as an 8 year-old child already. I have always been fascinated by the tremendeous gap between the wealthy and the poor in America, and more specifically in the center of Western Capitalism. So, I came to New York and portrayed the survival of some of its poorest and yet most creative citizens: the homeless artists.
