Q: What inspired you to make this piece?
A: I grew up in my parents' Chinese restaurant in Queens. So it was a very easy decision to make [my] first film about something that is close to [my] heart.
Q: Do you have any interesting and/or amusing behind-the-scenes stories about the making of this particular work?
A: There are many. One in particular is, the crew ate too much Chinese food during the whole shoot, [so] that we got so sick of it. So on the last day of shooting, we were so happy to be eating pizzas and McDonald's.
