Q: What inspired you to make this piece?
A: My inspiration for this film was music. I was listening to a lot of Bussonie, Mahler, and Bartok back then and I loved the idea of images as percussion. Like a sharp beat, a short image too could have both rhythmic effects and linger in a fleeting after-image echo. To then build with these units of precussion seemed very architectural.
