Q: Is there a relationship between your work as a video/filmmaker and life in the New York metropolitan area?
A: Yes, there is a relationship. I love the metropolitan life here; it is the city of all cities. The mixture of cultures inspires me. I also love collaborating with composers, singers, and musicians, and they all live in the neighborhood.
Q: How did you fund this particular film/video, and what is your general experience in seeking funding for your work?
A: I funded this piece on my own. Animation is not as expensive as live-action film, but it takes a LONG time. I design textiles, silk scarves and ties, for money; it is my own label.
