Q:
What inspired you to make this piece?
A: I wanted to make
a film set in a colorful neighborhood like the one I grew up in in New York -- sometimes
called Harlem, sometimes called the Upper West Side, always full of life.
I was prarticularly interested in showing how people who've experienced
varying forms of violence, internal and external, deal with their pain.
I wanted to make a film that shows that we can sometimes help each other
find a way out by sharing our experiences from where ever we are from.
