REEL NEW YORK presents the fourth season of its summer festival series of works by independent New York-based film and video artists. REEL NEW YORK airs for eight consecutive Fridays at 10pm, from June 11 through July 30, 1999, only on Thirteen/WNET. See the Festival Calendar for the complete television schedule, including repeats.
This online companion features interviews with the film/video artists, QuickTime clips from each work, a printable Festival Calendar, a description of work, a feedback page, comments from Series Producer Garrison Botts, and a wealth of resources for those interested in independent media.
(You might also want to check out REEL NEW YORK.WEB, which showcases cutting-edge artists and their Web-based art work and is a "parallel series" to the REEL NEW YORK television series.)
This series is made possible with generous grants from the GREENWALL FOUNDATION, the HENRY NIAS FOUNDATION, the ELBERT LENROW FUND, INC., and with public funds from the NEW YORK STATE COUNCIL ON THE ARTS, a state agency.
