Maya's mother desperately wants her daughter to get married, and even provides the prospective mates. But Maya has other ideas in this short film about personal discovery and self-determination. After much prompting from her mother, she agrees to go on a date with Zach, an eligible young doctor. It is only then that Maya begins to come to terms with her attraction to women. She abandons her therapy and seeks refuge in her Caribbean dance class, where she meets Sasha, who inspires her to stand up to her meddling mother.
