In this hard-hitting, music-video-style piece, Parnes orchestrates some of the underlying themes in this Sally Jessy Raphael program, where women are denied their freedom of expression (in their dress) because the men cannot keep their hands off them. Through redundant "sampling" of the talk-show program, images and sound bites are aggressively repeated over and over again into a kind of techno-video mantra. This piece drives home the relentless way in which these young women are kept in their place by the society around them, making it territorial and off-limits to expose and thus reveal oneself.
