Music tracks reminiscent of old jazz film scores create a kind of odd narrative infusion in this animated film. The frames seem as though they have dissolved, cracked, or worn down in patterns like some fine mosaic. The film strips are busy and gleeful, lively interpretations of the music . . . or are the music scores interpretations of the film manipulations?
