A journey into the night is pictured here as the two travelers, Honus and Rono, are taken for a fantastical ride through the city meeting "spirit people" along the way. This film is a dark and exquisite depiction of the ways that death beckons. Using such metaphors as a butterfly trapped in a glass jar to evoke our the fears of losing our freedom, being too contained, and ultimately not having the possibility to live and breathe, Knight takes us into the netherworld and back again.
