In this minimalist piece, Pearlstein uses herself as a character actor of sorts, posing in a series of gestures that prove to be both provocative and amusing. As you might watch the exaggerated gestures of a silent film star, or laugh as you pause your VCR to some absurd frozen moment in time, so, too, Pearlstein moves from one static pose to another, building on the progression of gestures and occasional sound effect that underscore the moment.
