JUGGLING GENDER (1992) (26:43)
by Tami Gold

Performance artist and bearded woman Jennifer Miller is the star of this documentary which looks at the ways in which women are stereotyped in our culture. Who passes as a woman and who does not? Why would someone choose to be an "attraction" at a Coney Island Side Show? This intimate portrait shatters our notions of masculine and feminine, suggesting the possibility for a more fluid gender identity.
