Q: What films/videos and makers have inspired you or influenced your work? And why?
A: Films that have inspired SANGAM include Satyajit Ray's APU TRILOGY, Chris Marker's LA JETEE, Lynne Ramsay's RATCATCHER, Terrence Mallick's BADLANDS and THIN RED LINE, the work of Wong Kai Wai and Andre Tarkovsky. Each of these filmmakers have made films that beautifully and poetically capture the joys and struggles of life.
