Q: What is the relationship between your work as a video/filmmaker and life in the New York metropolitan area?
A: I have lived in New York for ten years working as a designer/director in film and television. The energy, culture, and aesthetic of the city has informed my process and my aesthetic. There is a rhythm inherent in the streets, in the ways people communicate and live. This rhythm informs the way you put two things next to each other whether it is in the edit or in the writing. The city constantly tests your faith and in the most unexpected ways renews it.
