Q: Briefly tell us about how you made your film or video.
A: SANGAM was shot using Super 16, still photography, experimental design techniques, and Super 8. We transferred the footage on a Spirit, edited on Final Cut Pro, created sequences in After Effects, and conformed in HD. The memories of SANGAM needed to feel nostalgic or graceful. To create this feeling, we took selects from the digital video and projected them onto frosted plexiglass. On a clear surface of plastic in front of a Super 16 camera, we poured water and glycerin. The footage was reshot through the water and glycerin on Super 16 giving the feeling of a faded memory.
