Q: What inspired you to make this piece?
A:
As immigrants and children of immigrants, what is our Sangam? What is the place where we find solace and renew our faith? Does it exist in the lands of our ancestors or does it exist in the lands that we move to? I wanted to pose these questions and inspire the audience to reflect upon their own lives. Films can either render the audience as passive viewers or as active viewers who participate, reflect, and interpret. SANGAM is a film that invites participation.
