	Q: What inspired you to make this piece? A: The inspiration for this piece is built upon a questioning of whether moments from the past remain alive, even after all signs of their existence are fading. The building that serves as the metaphor for this idea was a boarded up bar in Hoboken, New Jersey. Never having seen it inside, I envisioned it as being a confectionary from the 1930s. The idea that a place which at one time represented such carefree feelings could now be sitting silently under a layer of dust, really interested me. It seemed as if time had instantly stopped, freezing everything in its path. For me, this place represented the very process of remembering itself. page 2
