Q: What inspired you to make this piece?
A: GHOSTS OF GREY GARDENS is an homage to Edie Bouvier Beale and her mother Edie Beale, as well as to the Maysles brothers and their groundbreaking film GREY GARDENS. I was inspired by the original film to delve as deeply as I could into the legacy that these women left behind and, at the same time, I was able to come to terms with my own inability to let go of these wonderful people I had never met.
