The eighth and final episode, "Paying Tribute," consists of two vintage films, approximately a half-hour each, which offer a glimpse into the genius of two artistic innovators who have made remarkable contributions to the field of film and video. NAM JUNE PAIK: EDITED FOR TELEVISION (1975) is a provocative profile of the artist, his work, and philosophies. Paik is considered one of the central figures who pushed the boundaries of the concept, technology, and genre of video art and installation. In an excerpt from FILM PORTRAIT: JEROME HILL (1965-71) by Jerome Hill, the painter and filmmaker tells his story. Throughout the years, Hill has given financial support to enable numerous artists and humanists to create their work. His support continues to this day through funds from the Jerome Foundation.
