Q: Do you have any interesting behind-the-scenes stories about the making of this particular work?
A: Because Ariel's comics are autobiographical, she told me that she employed various techniques to document her life for her books. She often carried a camera, tape recorder, and notebook to maintain the truth about the world around her. She became so comfortable with our camera crew recording her life that she told us she could finally relax and not worry that she was missing something.
