Q: What inspired you to make this piece?
A: I was inspired to make a documentary about Ariel Schrag because I admired her comic books and wanted to understand the way she saw the world as a queer comic book artist. I was interested in capturing Ariel on film because her autobiographical work chronicles the underground world of teen dyke culture in a way that has rarely been recognized or represented in mainstream art, literature, or media.
