A: (cont'd.) In order to cheaply and effectively stage a car accident on no budget, I carefully studied David Cronenberg's CRASH, because it relied more on size and sequencing of shots for its car accidents than stunt work or special effects. As we approached the sound design of the project, I was influenced by the soundtrack of Gaspar Noé's IRREVERSIBLE, which utilized a jarring soundscape to complement its nonlinear structure. |
