Q: Do you have any interesting behind-the-scenes stories about the making of this particular work?

A: There were three difficulties with shooting HIGHWAY 403, MILE 39. First, the film took place entirely either on a deserted road or inside a moving car. Therefore, we needed a deserted road the actress could (safely) drive on while we filmed her, as well as one [on] which we could film in the opposite lane going the same way as the car, not to mention one where we could stage a car crash. Not an easy find in the New York area, especially given that we could not afford car rigs, stunt drivers, etc. Miraculously, after weeks of location scouting, we found a beach club ...
