Q: Briefly tell us about how you made your film or video.
A: The film was originally shot on a combination of Super 8 and 16 mm film that I re-printed on an optical printer. All the layering and altered motion that you see was done in the optical printer. It took me about a year of working on and off. You can create the same effects on a computer, about 100 times faster, but I work on a computer all day long, so I prefer the rhythmic and glacial speed of the optical printer. The upside is I can read a lot of books while I am working.
