	Q: What is the relationship between your work as a video/filmmaker and life in the New York metropolitan area? A: I have been inspired by the work of narrative filmmakers, such as Krzysztof Kieslowski, John Cassavetes, Mike Leigh, Ken Loach, and Raul Ruiz, and documentary filmmakers Barbara Kopple, the Maysles brothers, [and] Richard Leacock. I am attracted to what all of these filmmakers have in common: the ability to depict the human condition with such candor and honesty that their work can be both exhilarating and painful to watch. back to film
