Q: What inspired you to make this piece?
A: The story was a memory/dream that wouldn't go away.
Q: Briefly tell us about how you made your film or video.
A: First came the story and narration, which I wrote and then recorded on DAT at Don Christensen's recording studio. Then we shot and amassed the photographic elements -- some of which were photographed by me in the subways and around New York, some at dawn on the Upper East Side (by my intern at the time, Lauren Kreuger), and others staged and shot by Jennifer Scheerer on the Lower East Side. ...
