Q: What is the relationship between your work as a video/filmmaker and life in the New York metropolitan area?
A: I constantly feed on the amount of energy and exuberance that this city has. I could not do the work I do anywhere else.
Q: What films/videos and makers have inspired you or influenced your work? And why?
A: I find myself very drawn to Iranian filmmakers. They redefine many filmic tropes in amazing new ways.
