Q: Briefly tell us about how you made your film or video.
A:
I used a consumer video camera, handled by a pro cinematographer, Toshi Ozawa. I digitized the material and processed it in After Effects®. The processed clips were brought into Flash (2D-animation software), over which I drew the character animations and rotoscoped some landscape elements. Those were exported without the video clips of the city and re-composited in After Effects® to add digital noise, transparency, and other integrating effects to both the animation and the footage. The "married" materials were then edited in Final Cut Pro, working with a rough score from the composer.
