Q: What films/videos and makers have inspired you or influenced your work? And why?
A: I'm pretty old school -- I love Akira Kurosawa, Billy Wilder, John Ford, Howard Hawks. All of those filmmakers loved their characters, had deeply moving but hard-core stories to tell, and seemed to always know exactly where to put the camera to tell the story cleanly and efficiently.
