Home Free is a wonderful expression of tribulations in the big city. The music was exciting and the acting supurb by the little boy, the big sister, the mother, neighbor and vendor. How in the world did the filmmaker get a city full of people to look the other way and a fire to break out in the middle of the film? This is excellent and should win an award.

Very good, excellent music. Every kid gets lost and its to people like that neighbor that help the child get found.

This short had a good emotional arc with an resolution that tied it all together. Excellent camera work with good location choices.

I thought the music was great but i imagine the mother would be extremely emotional after losing her child.

I really enjoyed how the music was used to express the feelings of the protagonist through this film.

Hi this is Paul; I played saxophone and wrote the music for the soundtrack (some was group improvisation, and in any case the bassist Apostolos and drummer Gasper were equal participants in the soundtrack). Just wanted to say thanks for all the positive feedback on the music. You can hear more at my website, http://www.paulcarlonmusic.com

    Good luck Bill!

I thought this was boring, I didn’t know where it was going, then it turned out to be predictable at the end. There were, however, a few nice cinematographic moments.

Perhaps, if you broke the film down into areas, sound, camera, background, cast, music, editing, lighting, to consider and appreciate the technical aspects individually – then stand back, the way you do with a painting, and look at it as a whole – this might help you to see it in a different light.
