Deki, a young orphan, must work to pay his own tuition. Directed by Marthin Fort
I was impressed with all three shorts this week. making it difficult to decide which i should choose to be shown. the choi family was truly eye opening regarding the death of a child and the manner in which it happened, at the same time, the bricklayer’s son was poinent showing the lengths to which parents will go for their child. but i felt the short about the boy trying to get an education needed to be shown because the fact is, as a world culture, we have given short shrift to educating all our children; not just the ones we conveniently observe within our insulated classes.
