Melissa Leo’s great in her Oscar-nominated performance.

Melissa Leo is phenomenal and guaranteed to give a tour de force performance in any production she’s a part of. Ironically, I was angry about something I now realize was insignificant. After the film all I could feel was gratitude because what these women did because of their circumstances is happening in this country everyday. I am not a mother but was raised by a single mother. When I finished watching the film I was awestruck by the power of the performances and not angry anymore. It put everything I was angry about in perspective for me! Only GREAT films and performances can do this to a viewer. Thank you 13, Carolyn Hunt and all the actors involved…

Awsome movie!! I love to see a bit of what really goes on in the world. Also the acting was impeccable, any method acting involved? So natural, I’d like to get my hands on this C.D. for my collection. Thanks CH. 13! I hope I get to watch it again. Loved the ending, I guess she finally got her home!

Awesome portrayal of hard choices. many parents and others make in the face of desperation that comes from addiction fallout…. survival, generosity, optimism, facing consequences of those choices
