When I first saw Sunset Boulevard, I had trouble getting past the fact that Norma Desmond is supposed to be only 50 years old, even taking into account the period in which the story is set.

I’ve always been partial to Stalag 17 myself.

“Some Like It Hot!” No matter how often I’ve watched it, it still brings out the tears. (of laughter) As other families have events that they share together, this film is a “must see” for us all on the couch.

The absolute most funniest film ever is “Some Like It Hot”, my favorite Billy Wilder directed film. Every single time I watch this movie I break out into joyful laughter. It is a pure treasure. Thank you Billy, Tony, Marilyn, Jack, Joe E, George, and all.

Since Billy Wilder is one of my fave directors this is hard. Some Like it Hot is unbearably funny. The Apartment (which I just saw AGAIN) & Double Indemnity fabulous but Sunset Boulevard absolute masterpiece & one of the best “inside” Hollywood movies ever made. Hard to imagine Gloria Swanson didn’t win the Oscar.

“Some Like it Hot” — no question about it in my mind. We’ve watched it more times than we can count, waiting with delighted anticipation for our favorite lines, especially “Good school.”

Although I just LUV “Some Like It Hot” (there’s so
many) I’m going with “One Two Three”. Cagney’s just fab.

If anyone has trouble believing Norma Desmond is supposed to be only 50, maybe the make-up department blew it because Gloria Swanson was in fact only 51 when she made Sunset Boulevard.
