I have never forgotten this movie since I saw it when I was in college – I hear it’s soundtrack in my head today. Simon Oakland’s final scene is heart wrenching, not to mention the indelible performance of Susan Hayward. This film helped enlist me in the ranks of opponents to the death penalty in the 1950s and has kept me there.
It looks to be very absorbing…
