Celebrate Parents' Day in July!
Sunday, July 26, 2009
In 2008, former President George W. Bush officially proclaimed the fourth Sunday of every July as Parents' Day. Parents' Day recognizes the time and investment required of parents, and celebrates parenting as a crucial part of a child's development.
Here are some ways to celebrate Parents' Day in your own home!
Nominate Your Parents for "Parents of the Year"
Go to Parents' Day's official website to complete the online nomination form for your parents. On the website, you can also check out the stories and pictures of the past "National Parents of the Year".
Design a Card
Not a fan of the commercially designed cards? With just some markers and construction paper, children can design their own Parents' Day cards and write their own heartfelt message for their parents.
Personalized Coupons
Children can design their own coupons for their parents! For everything from cooking breakfast to giving massages, the coupons are an inexpensive and heartfelt way for children to express their gratitude. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
Personalized Concert
Are the children musically-inclined? Encourage the children to perform a concert for their parents! Giving the gift of time and music is a great way to help parents relax.

Selecting a Child Care Provider
Before you begin the process of searching for your child's provider, parents need to figure out their own priorities for child care. Here are some things to consider that may ultimately make or break a deal.
