Remembering JFK

“JFK”, the latest film in the American Experience series “The Presidents”, offers a fresh assessment of the enigmatic man, featuring interviews with Kennedy family members and noted historians. The film features interviews with Kennedy family members and historians including Robert Dallek, Robert Caro, and Evan Thomas. Beginning with Kennedy’s childhood years as the privileged but sickly second son of one of the wealthiest men in America, the film explores his early political career as a lackluster congressman, his successful run for the U.S. Senate, and the game-changing presidential campaign that made him the youngest elected president in U.S. history.

Incredibly GREAT documentary. It is chilling to learn of the obstacles in his life and how history itself could have been lost to a single wrong turn; and ultimately it was cut short by the complexity of these churning involutions. It is inspiring and even wealth comes out as the mixed blessing that made things possible, but also placed him in opposition to so much social, political and military-economic power…not to mention the balance of power in the global context itself. When will we finally learn the truth of his murder in complete detail and bring justice to the world community. When will we stop labeling the investigations and facts that are accumulating…to date…as the tainted term “conspiracy theory” and call it like any murder would be framed.

The Brothers include, lest we forget, a double homicide. Why is the RFK assassination left in California? And when will we connect the dots into the Washington DC power circles and link the people that deserve attention? When will we look at the succession planning that plotted the course for the executive power position, from Nixon on through to the contemporary false choices of Bush and Obama (fallacies of distinction and false flag politics…with trickle down corruption in the mix)?

Kennedy : The Torch is passed…

“Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of americans– born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage…” JFK / January 20, 1961

Today… “a new generation” is being militarized to serve a corporate veiled national “interest” that includes swearing a blind allegiance to a National Security State that idealizes ‘perpetual war’ as the foundation of civilized humanity.

It is time we pick up that TORCH…or admit we have been letting it go out!
