Jac Venza

While working at THIRTEEN, Jac Venza created the framework for performing arts on public television. In 1972, he established Great Performances, achieving his dream of spreading arts and culture across the nation. Great Performances is still on the air and will soon celebrate its 40th season on PBS. Under Venza’s direction, Thirteen’s Culture & Arts unit produced American Masters, EGG the Arts Show, and Broadway: The American Musical, among many other landmark programs.
