Ready, Willing And Able
The Doe Fund's Ready Willing and Able program is helping homeless men get off the streets by having them first spend some time cleaning the streets. By offering housing, drug counseling and street cleaning work for nine months this program has developed an impressive record helping one subset of the homeless.
As Troy Crochran, a trainee in the program comments: "I have been many places...It's no secret I have been in prison, I have been in a drug detox program...[Now] I have some direction and focus in my life. And I am going to make it."
