The Visiting Nurse Service(VNS) of New York is the largest non-profit home health care agency in the nation. It was founded in 1893 to administer to the city's burgeoning immigrant population. VNS Serves an average of 24,000 patients each week in New York City. VNS care givers offer everything from critical nursing care to basic needs such as dressing, bathing, and preparing meals.
