Just For Laughs (UCB)
Created by a small group of improvisers in Chicago, the Upright Citizens Brigade has grown to become a New York institution. Those seeking comic relief can witness their spontaneous, off-the-cuff, no-scripts brand of comedy seven nights a week at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. If spectatorship isn't enough, classes on improv are offered at the UCB's Improv Guerilla Training Center. The theatre and the school are breeding grounds for some of today's funniest comics, with people moving on to the like of Saturday Night Live, Conan O'Brien, and Comedy Central.
